Full Breath Solution (FBS)

Invented by Dr. Bryan Keropian of Beverly Hills, California, this appliance differs from many of the other oral appliances in the industry. Like other leading appliances it is custom fitted over your lower teeth, but instead of adjusting your bite by pulling the lower jaw forward slightly, this device keeps your airway open with a small depressor that holds the tounge from blocking the airway while you sleep.

Dr. Bashford has worked closely with Dr. Keropian, becoming an expert in Full Breath Solution ™ technology. Though not everyone is a candidate for this type of device it remains a favorite because long-term, patients see fewer changes to their teeth and their bite.

This adjustable side hinge appliance allows some lateral and vertical movement. The strength of the components are ideal for more moderate to severe cases of sleep apnea, or patients with bruxism.

Herbst

Mandibular Advancement Device

This unobtrusive splint uses elastic straps of varying lengths to hold form but allow flexibility and lateral movement. It's ideal for mild sleep apnea cases and patients with severe gag tendencies or full maxillary dentures

EMA

Elastometric Advancement

Designed in 1985, one of the most used oral appliance types. This device has two separate components that allow for the most movement. Lateral fins on the lower guard disallow an overbite during sleep.
